Prime Contractor

For Prime Contractors, a Preliminary Notice must be included within the original contract or provided to the owner of the property within 10 days after providing labor or materials on the project. Also, a Notice of Intent to Lien must be provided within 30 days before the liens’  filing date.

Sub/Laborer

For Subcontractors and Laborers, a Preliminary notice is required to be provided to the property owner 60 days after the first day labor or materials were provided on the project. Also, a Notice of Intent to Lien is required to be provided to the owner of the property within 30 days before the liens’ filing date.

Supplier/Other

For Suppliers and Others, a Preliminary notice is required to be provided to the property owner 60 days after the first day labor or materials were provided on the project.
