Prime Contractor

For Prime Contractors, a Mechanics Lien is required to be filed within 90 days from last day of the month in which labor or materials were provided for the project, or within 90 days from when the project is complete. Enforcement of the lien must take place within 6 months from the date of the liens’ recording, or within 60 days from the completion of the project.

Sub/Laborer

For Subcontractors and Laborers, a Mechanics Lien is required to be filed within 90 days from last day of the month in which labor or materials were provided for the project, or within 90 days from when the project is complete.
