Prime Contractor

For Prime Contractors, a Notice to Owner must be provided tot he owner of the property before beginning work on the property.

Sub/Laborer

For Subcontractors and Laborers, a Notice of nonpayment must be provided to the owner of the property within 90 days of the last day of the month when labor and materials were last provided on the project. Each month for unpaid materials or labor require separate notices to be provided to the owner of the property.

Supplier/Other

For Suppliers and Others, if they’re providing materials or labor to the property owner, then the same rules apply as for a General Contractor. If not, then the same rules apply as for Subcontractors and Laborers.
