Prime Contractor

For Prime Contractors, a Mechanics Lien is required be filed within 60 days from filing of Notice of Completion. If a Notice of Completion is not filed, a Mechanics Lien may be filed within 90 days from completion of the project. Enforcement of the lien is due within 90 days after the lien is recorded.

Sub/Laborer

For Subcontractors and Laborers, a Mechanics Lien is required be filed within 30 days from filing of Notice of Completion. If a Notice of Completion is not filed, a Mechanics Lien may be filed within 90 days from completion of the project. Enforcement of the lien is due within 90 days after the lien is recorded.

Supplier/Other

For Suppliers and Others, a Mechanics Lien is required be filed within 30 days from filing of Notice of Completion. If a Notice of Completion is not filed, a Mechanics Lien may be filed within 90 days from completion of the project. Enforcement of the lien is due within 90 days after the lien is recorded.
